--Norwalk Catholic School -Friday Flyer--

October 12, 2018

Dear NCS Parents,

The NCS Elementary Student Council had their first meeting last week. It was productive and many great ideas were shared. I am very excited for the new possibilities these students will bring to fruition for our school! Congratulations to the following for being elected to student council: Fifth graders: Aubrey Dilger, Isabelle Rizzo, Charlotte Hosack, and Paige McFadden. Sixth graders: Grace Kluding, Kristin Matlack, Hannah French, William Cloud, Virginia Metcalf, and Samantha Gocsik.

Parent/teacher conferences are fast approaching. Be looking for the sign-up sheets to come home next week, to book your conference! These are held on Oct. 30th and Nov. 1st in the evening. At your conference your child’s teacher discuss fall MAP test results & academic goals, classroom performance, and any questions you may have. If you anticipate needing a longer conference time than the allotted 15 minutes, please schedule an appointment outside of these two evenings, directly with your child’s teacher. We do our best to keep to the schedule for conferences and for parents to not have to wait for their appointment, especially when seeing multiple teachers in one night. We look forward to having you come in!

Upcoming events:

  • Flyer Faith Walk Thursday, 10/18. Have your child’s permission slip back to their teacher by 10/16. Donations for cider and donuts can be dropped off to the ECC on 10/17/18. Thank you for your support!!
  • Mark your calendars for the Digital Empowerment Project coming to NCS on 11/6/18, for a parent presentation in the auditorium from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Mr. Scott Frank, a former internet crimes officer, discusses internet safety and social media safety. This is a very important message for the safety and well-being of our children; I encourage parents to join us if you are available!

God Bless, Mrs. Englert
